Francis Bacon’s art is dominated by different sensations of figure; The results of energy and forces affecting the body, deformation and distortion. This visual experience was the initial inspiration for the „Duo II for Francis Bacon“, a composition for violin and accordion. In this concentrated setting, staged like an intimate theatre, one can concentrate on the relation between different potentials, energies and forces occurring when two bodies, elements or humans are put together and brought into a system of correlations, a constant fight and struggle between interconnection, cooperation and conflict.
